Concentration Critique #3 - One Piece on Wednesday, Dec. 19th
Secret Santa - Handmade gift for a classmate. Don't forget to bring your food item. Friday, Dec. 21st
Scholastic Challenge - One amazing, artsy, edgy, exciting, challenged myself piece of art created using one of the Scholastic Art Awards categories. Preferably a media new for you or one that you would like to explore further and you just haven't had time. Tuesday, January 8th
National Portfolio Days - Yes, it's required. You must visit at least three colleges and bring back brochures for Ms. McB. I'll be there as well! Sunday, January 13th. Oregon College of Art and Craft 12 - 4.
Breadth Section - This is going to sneak up on us. I've reserved the lab on the 16th, 18th and the 24th (the day of our final). Our goal is to have the entire breadth section for AP chosen, uploaded on the AP site and a website created with your breadth work. What's helpful???? You should spend time looking at your photos and determining which ones best exemplify the Elements & Principles of Art. Seriously.....the breadth section of your portfolio is scored equally as your concentration. If you just put any photos in there it will not score well.
Concentration Critique #4 - Two Pieces on Wednesday, Jan. 30th.
Scholastic DEADLINE Wednesday, January 16th, 2013
JUNIORS
You've been thinking you are off the hook because I've been focusing on the Seniors...not so fast.
Each of you should have at LEAST two things entered into the Scholastic Art Awards.
SENIORS
Scholastic Photography Portfolios - You know what you need to do! I've chatted with each of you. Unless otherwise arranged, your Photography Portfolio is due on Friday, Dec. 21st. Due means, done, uploaded eight pieces on the Scholastic site, paperwork printed out. What would be awesome is if you did it prior to that day and you could bring the paperwork and the fee ($20) to me. That might just be asking too much!
Scholastic Art Portfolios - These are due on Monday, Jan 14th. Due means, done, uploaded eight pieces on the Scholastic site, paperwork printed out. What would be awesome is if you did it prior to that day and you could bring the paperwork and the fee ($20) to me.Weeeeeee.
