The first concentration critique is always exciting. It's amazing to see your ideas come alive. It's important that we spend this time talking about each others work, great things come from critiques.
I'll be sending in the images for the Artists Statement show on the 31st, we will know by the 5th of November who has made it in. Thus starts the competition season. Coming up, High School Art Northwest sponsored by George Fox University, the Lake Oswego Reads show, and of course the Scholastic Art Awards. This year we will have the opportunity to participate in the Oregon College of Art and Craft high school show. Lot's to do!
Seniors remember that you can enter two portfolios into the Scholastic Art Awards. You will need to have 8 images to make an art portfolio and 8 images to make a photography portfolio.

Random question
I have friends that are coming from New York this weekend. One of them has never seen the Oregon coast. The house we usually rent is not available. Does anyone have a house near Seaside, Gearhart, or Cannon Beach that we could rent Sunday night?
